The best website for researching in Norwegian statutes and regulations is:

Here you will find Statutes in force, repealed statutes, Parliamentary Decisions, Central and Local Regulations, Legal Gazettes etc. There is also a link for Court Decisions, but only the last 6 months are available for free.

 

Information from government and ministries with links to white papers, propositions, official Norwegian reports, legislation etc, is also available on the website:

Law Libraries at universities in Norway have collected general law resources on a website for Norwegian scholars. A lot of information is available in English, for instance there is a link to translated Norwegian laws.

2. MEDIA LAW AND ETHICS

 

The Norwegian Union of Journalists has probably the most useful website on Norwegian Media Law and Ethics:

Here you will find links to the Code of Ethics of the Norwegian Press, to rights and duties of the editor, Agreements on copyright, Statutes of the Norwegian Union of Journalists and debates concerning questions of media regulation at the moment.

The Norwegian Press Association (Norsk Presseforbund) nor the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission (Pressens Faglige Utvalg) do not have English language pages on their websites.

 

The Norwegian Media Authority is an administrative instance, monitoring the Norwegian statutes concerning media ownership and market regulation, and has some information in English on the following website:

3. BROADCASTING AND NEWSPAPERS

 

The NRK (the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) is Norway's major broadcasting institution with nine radio channels and two TV channels http://www.nrk.no/informasjon/about_the_nrk/

 

NRK is a Public Service Broadcaster.
