BACKGROUND: Working for various Media as a journalist for 8 year and NGOs as a public defender for 7 years. Bayu became interested in media law due to his frequent involvement in handling cases connected with journalist at the beginning of his career. Coordinator of Department Advocacy, 1999, the Alliance of Independent Journalist (AJI) since 2002, became co-founder and established Legal Aid Center for Press (LBH Pers), a NGO specializing in defending freedom of the press and freedom of expression in Indonesia. After comeback, Tempo asked him to assisting legal matter of Tempo’s cases as a Senior Legal Staff.
