BACKGROUND: Rosemarie was recently appointed as the firm's assistant managing partner after our senior partner gave up his active law practice in favor of politics or government service. He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of the Philippines Cebu College, teaching Laws on Mass Media, a major subject under the university's Mass Communication program. He was previously a news reporter for seven years at the best local news daily in our community, Sun. Star Cebu. I always view press freedom and media restraint issues not only from the legal perspective but also from an insider's eye view.
