Jelena SURCULIJA
Jelena graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, in 2000. She was a member of the expert working groups that drafted Broadcasting and Public Information laws in Serbia, at the same time monitoring the drafting of Telecommunications and Free Access to Information laws. She assisted in the founding of the ISP Association, delivered trainings on media and Internet laws for journalists and lawyers and held lectures at Faculties of Law, Political Sciences and Technical Sciences. Jelena obtained a Masters in Computer and Communications Law at Queen Mary University of London in 2005. Her main research areas are media, telecommunications and Internet laws. She has worked, so far, as a consultant to the OSCE, GIPI, InterMedia, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the Republican Agency of Telecommunications in Serbia and UNDP. Jelena is a member of the Advisory Group of the Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy (PCMLP) at the University of Oxford and one of the founders of the International Media Lawyers Association (IMLA).
