He is a Partner at Finers Stephens Innocent.

He specialises in defamation and has undertaken some of the highest profile cases in this area in the country.

He is also active in many associated areas of the law and was recently appointed by the Lord Chancellor to be a Champion for the Community Legal Service.

He is a member of the International Board of Advisers for the media law programme at the University of Hong Kong.

He lectures regularly at international organisations such as INSEAD and recently lectured at the e-forum in Paris on Achievements in Management and education Research. He also sits on the Editorial Board of "Copyright World" and the American Bar Association Journal "Communications Lawyer" and is a trustee of the Solicitors Pro-Bono Group and the sports celebrity charity SPARKS (Sport Aiding Research for Kids).
